yes, there are lots of times we just order the requested wood from the mill and create a beautiful work of art that in itself is a story. However there are times when an old tree falls in a storm and instead of turning it to fire wood, you call us, and through a long process and lots of patience you end up with a dinning room table, and your friends you have over for dinner compliment you on your table, and you say, "yeah you know the old sycamore tree by the road that fell down a couple years ago, this is that tree. The kids had a swing in this tree, little Johnny broke his arm trying to climb this tree, we carved our names in this tree...." Now you have a table with a story.

this was an old sycamore tree that fell down in a storm. the client wanted it turned into a table and benches for their kitchen table. This sycamore table is unstained and cleared with the same satin finish, food grade varnish we use on our cabinets.
this table was crafted from a beam in our own personal barn. The barn was built in the 1700's, so the beam is that old. Because of all the worm holes in such and old piece of wood we chose to put a thick bar top varnish on this table to make it smooth and easy for clean up.
this sycamore was purchased already kiln dried and milled in planks, with a live edge on it (meaning you can still see some bark). It also has a clear satin varnish and no stain. This table has been made for a restaurant in Lebanon Pa. To see the table and to enjoy and exceptionally good meal go check out
